Consarc Corporation adds two Senior Metallurgists
Consarc Corporation, an Inductotherm Group company located in Rancocas NJ, USA, is pleased to announce Eike Schmilinsky and Rok Barbič have recently joined the technology team at Consarc Corporation.
Schmilinsky will be the Chief Metallurgist of Consarc’s technology team. He has 25 years of metallurgy experience in both Europe and the USA. Schmilinsky has worked for steelmakers Kind & Co, Valbruna Stainless, ThyssenKrupp VDM (now VDM Metals), and British Steel, among others. He has extensive experience in remelting technologies (both ESR and VAR) as well as with ingot casting, vacuum induction melting (VIM), and blast furnaces. Schmilinsky brings a wealth of metallurgy and industry knowledge to Consarc and will be based in Germany assisting customers globally with their metallurgical challenges.
Barbič, who has a Ph.D. in metallurgy and over 15 years of research and development experience, will be filling the role of Principal Metallurgist as part of Consarc’s Technology Team. He has extensive firsthand experience with ESR at SIJ Metal Ravne where he was most recently Development Engineer for ESR Steel. Barbic also has experience with powder metallurgy, EAF, ladle process, roll steels, heat treatment, and aluminum alloys. He will be based in Slovenia and will be supporting Consarc’s customers around the world.
