John Hillis Retires as President of T&H Lemont

Almost 20 years after joining T&H Lemont as President, John is retiring to his new home in Anderson, SC with his wife Linda. John has led the Tube, Pipe, Rollform Machinery and Tooling Supplier from the company headquarters in Countryside, Illinois since 2000.

John began his career as an Electrical Engineer working for Tenneco Inc., in Aberdeen MS in 1972, after graduating from Mississippi State University. John went on to work with Tenneco for 23 years in Racine WI, Monroe Mi., Paragould AR, Hartwell GA, Seward NE, Cambridge ONT, Queretaro Mexico and Jackson MI. John Later joined LTV Tubular and built them an advanced Automotive Tubular Plant in Marion OH.

As a Technology leader and participant in the changing Pipe and Tube Market, T&H Lemont under John’s leadership developed state-of-the-art Pipe and Tube processing systems for companies in North and South America, China, Korea, as well as several European and Russian Tube and Pipe Producers.

John is being replaced by Michael Strand who was Vice President for T&H Lemont since 2017. Michael will inherit a proven staff of Tube and Pipe System Technologists, as well as experienced Sales, Engineering and precision machining experts.
