Raymond is an annual speaker at our fall meeting and typically discusses the most relative factors affecting steel production and casting.  Mr. Steel will give his insight and predictions on what Steel foundries will be doing in 2018.

We welcome Patricio to Chicago and appreciate his service with AFS as our current president. Patricio will give us a virtual tour of Blackhawk Foundry and tell us about his first six months as AFS President. He will also share the AFS generated foundry trends and predictions.

Many of us know Ted through his involvement with AFS and appreciate his many years of service.   He will share information about ENKEI and the industry. Ted will discuss Quality and Safety statistics/programs and from his perspective, future automotive demands and requirements.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Phillip K. Heston, Vice President- Alter Metal RecyclingFoundry Supply and Transportation issues

Phillip will inform us of the challenges and demands following the recent Hurricanes in Florida and Texas. He will also discuss significant transportation and scrap issues facing the foundry industry.

This will be an expanded session this year.  The membership is considering new categories such as resin coated sand, ceramics and distributors. Let us know what additions are important to you? 

9:15 am – 10:15 am – Betsy Pierson, CFA Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Alpine Trust and Investment Group “Investing in 2018”  Betsy will discuss current events, including the recent hurricanes, political climate and other significant factors, which may contribute to the overall economy and investments.
