ServMelt Comercial Ltda, the service company owned by Inductotherm Group Brasil Ltda, had its grand opening of its new plant in the city of Indaiatuba, Sao Paulo State, Brazil, on December 6th 2011.
The company, operating since 1988 in Diadema City, invested about $2.5 million on its new plant which allowed the company to expand its business.
The move of ServMelt to Indaiatuba is part of a strategic plan created with the purpose of integrating both units of the group. ServMelt is now based alongside the actual Inductotherm plant, forming an industrial complex dedicated to the manufacture and service of induction heating applications for melting, heat treating and welding.
The president of Inductotherm Group Brasil, Mr. Edison da Cunha Almeida said, "There was need to expand the space to attend to the demand of business growth that has increased about 50% in recent years."
The new building has 1,900 m² of construction with high bay of 11 meters high and two cranes of 30 ton + 10 ton.
The Inductotherm complex, which is now composed of the Commercial Heat Treating Division, the Equipment Manufacturing Facility and ServMelt, has a combined area of 6,700 m².
In 2012, ServMelt forecasts approximately a 10% increase in demand due to the investments in new machines and tools as well as the shop floor increase.
Many authorities, entrepreneurs, customers, suppliers, and employees attended the ServMelt grand opening ceremony, including Mayor Reinaldo Nogueira who cut the symbolic opening banner.
