[May 19, 2010] Inductotherm Australia, an Inductotherm Group company, has recently supplied a large stainless steel pipe annealing system to a major Korean corporation, LS Industrial Systems Co. Ltd. (LG Corporation).
The system features include:
- Continuous or length-by-length dull pipe annealing;
- Annealing of pipe ranging in diameter from 609mm to 1,220mm with wall thickness ranging from 9mm to 25.4mm (wall thicknesses of up to 40mm can be annealed);
- Height adjustment of induction coil and quench barrel assembly;
- Annealing temperature of 1,100°C; production rates of over 4,000kg/hr;
- Solid-state low frequency inverter, water cooled via closed loop recirculation system;
- Quick changeover induction coils to suit a wide range of pipe diameters;
- High volume water quench recirculation system;
- Final air blow to dry external surface of pipe.
Mechanical drive system allows variable line speed and pipe rotation through annealing system. Line speed is adjusted by means of angled drive rollers. Electrical control system automatically varies input power to suit line speed and corresponding pipe diameters. Programmable control for a wide range of pipe sizes is standard.
Inductotherm Australia manufactures and services induction furnaces and heating equipment for parts of South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
