ThermaTunnels, electric resistance heated barrel furnaces, are placed between the induction coils and quench system where necessary, to achieve extended time at temperature to assure complete solution of chromium carbides. For longer cooling times, an offline, chain driven cooling bed can be provided which rotates the tubes as they cool. A slotted ring quench after complete solution treating provides very rapid, uniform heat extraction and superior straightness.
