For billets made for Copper and its alloys, the thyristor controlled Banyard™ induction billet heaters will deliver the rapid billet heating rates needed to reduce the unwanted scale/oxidation normally associated with conventional heating methods. Rapid induction heating also reduces the burn-out of alloying elements such as zinc, cadmium, etc. Similarly, it will reduce grain growth and precipitation of Mg2Si in Aluminum alloys, thus improving product quality and anodising finish.
