Thermatool® high frequency (HF) induction welding and heating units are capable of producing welded copper tube products at high speed from coiled copper strip. The products manufactured include water pipe, automotive radiator tubing, small diameter internally enhanced copper tubing for air conditioning applications and copper tube to copper fins for solar water heating panels.
Thermatool’s advanced low ripple output provides superior weld quality while minimizing I.D. trimming costs. Welding units are available on which the frequency can be varied in 1 kHz increments over a wide range enabling the producer to achieve an optimum quality weld heat affected zone (HAZ).
